Located on a small ridge overlooking the River Avon, Cropthorne village is of very ancient origin indeed. Featured in the Doomsday Book, the village boasts a magnificent stone Church dating back to the 12th century and many unique examples of timber-framed thatched farm-workers cottages from the 17th and even 16th centuries.

The spectacular Cropthorne Court (built of the site of the old Manor House) is amongst a number of fine 18th and 19th century residences that dominate the Cropthorne skyline as viewed from the Jubilee bridge. Here the gardens sweep down through ancient orchards to the banks of the Avon itself offering spectacular views across the Vale of Evesham to the distant Malverns.
